What is your Education PLAN?

Our Education Plan is a personalized portfolio that includes the completion of your college applications, financial aid,  transcript evaluations and internship opportunities. You will meet one on one with a Academic Counselor, Financial Aid Counselor and a Career Counselor who will help you identify which educational path is right for you.

The Education Planners will help you identify the best college, university or certificate/vocational program to focus your career goals. We'll also show you how to pay for your education by exploring financial aid, scholarships and grant options. Most importantly we will guide you in choosing the right school that will give you the education and training you need to start for your career.

Step One-Deciding a Major

  • Identify what you career goals are (Career Assessment is optional)

  • Research various Careers and Industries for employment statistics and salary expectations

  • What type of education do you need to enter your chosen career field

Step Two-Choosing a School

  • What community college, vocational school, certificate program or University offers the education or training you need to enter a career field

  • Explore campus based, on-line for working adult, flexible schedules for completing your education

  • Complete college applications, personal statements

Step Three-Academic Counseling

  • Courses and resources at community college, university or private colleges

  • What type of additional education you need to enhance your employment opportunities in your chosen career industry (Licenses, Certificates) 

  • Understanding how college units work, what classes do you take

Step Four-Financial Aid Counseling

  • Understanding and applying for FAFSA (Financial Aid) CHAFEE Grant, AB540/DREAM ACT

  • Exploring alternative financing options for your education (WIA, I-Train)

  • Scholarship options
